BRIC-NIAB Hyderabad Announces Recruitment for Principal Project Associate (PPA) Under CAVDPG: Monthly Emolument of ₹67,000 + HRA

The BRIC-National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (BRIC-NIAB), Hyderabad—an autonomous institution under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology—has invited online applications from qualified, seasoned Life Sciences professionals for the position of Principal Project Associate (PPA).

The recruited personnel will play a pivotal role in the technical establishment, workflow standardisation, and day-to-day operational management of the Centre for Advanced Veterinary Diagnostics and Pathogen Genomics (CAVDPG). Primary responsibilities include the formulation, standardisation, and validation of diagnostic protocols, establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), implementing stringent laboratory quality management systems, supervising technical staff, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing testing, diagnostic reporting, and documentation workflows.

Selection Mode: Screening followed by an interview before a duly constituted Selection Committee.

Emoluments & Age Eligibility

Monthly Remuneration: ₹67,000/- per month + applicable HRA as per norms.
Upper Age Limit: Up to 50 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications & Experience (Any one track):
- Four-year Bachelor’s Degree / B.V.Sc. / M.Sc. degree (including integrated PG programs) in Life Sciences from a recognized university, accompanied by at least 8 years of post-qualification research and development experience in industrial, academic, or S&T institutions.
- OR
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (M.E. / M.Tech) in Life Sciences from a recognized university, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant R&D experience in industrial or academic/S&T setups.
- OR
- Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university, along with at least 4 years of hands-on R&D experience in industrial or academic/S&T organizations.
Desirable Competencies:
- Hands-on expertise in molecular diagnostics, microbiology, and immunoassay platforms (development, calibration, and assay validation).
- Direct experience in SOP writing, quality compliance, regulatory accreditation documentation, sample management, and diagnostic reporting within an operational diagnostic laboratory.
