Stryker, a global leader in medical technologies, has announced the opening of a new 140,000-square-foot R&D facility in Whitefield, Bangalore. This expansion strengthens the company’s presence in India, complementing its existing 220,000-square-foot R&D campus in Gurgaon.
The new facility is a strategic move to integrate cutting-edge technologies, including robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), digital innovation, and product security. It is designed to foster collaboration and accelerate the development of solutions that address the evolving needs of global healthcare.
A key feature of the new center is a medical experience center. This space will serve as a hub for deep collaboration with healthcare professionals, allowing them to engage with Stryker’s latest innovations firsthand. The center will showcase a range of life-saving products, from ICU beds and stretchers to ambulance cots and automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
Ram Rangarajan, Vice President of Stryker Global Technology Center, highlighted the facility’s purpose-driven growth. “The advanced labs will allow us to work closely with healthcare professionals, unlock valuable insights, and accelerate innovation,” he said. The new center aims to attract top talent and drive sustained growth while focusing on the mission of making healthcare better.
This investment in Bangalore’s dynamic ecosystem of research and talent underscores Stryker’s continued commitment to India as a key hub for medical technology innovation.
