Essential Experience and Qualifications
This is a senior position requiring extensive experience in the Clinical Research (CR) domain:
- Education: Minimum science degree or equivalent.
- Experience Requirement:
- B.Sc./equivalent: Minimum of 12 years of Clinical Research (CR) experience.
- M.Sc./M.Pharm or equivalent advanced degree: Minimum of 10 years of Clinical Research (CR) experience.
- Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is mandatory.
Job Description: Key Strategic and Technical Responsibilities
The Principal Scientific Writer will work closely with the Client Engagement, Medical Communications, and Writing delivery teams to ensure scientific excellence across designated accounts, therapeutic areas (TA), or brands.
Core Responsibilities
- Scientific Documentation: Preparing and supporting the preparation of highly complex scientific documents while ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
- Strategic Input: Providing strategic inputs to development and brand plans and assisting in policy decision-making, acting as a champion for the designated TA/disease/deliverable.
- Process Improvement: Initiating, implementing, and championing process improvement techniques across the group.
- Project Management: Managing multiple complex projects across various brands and therapeutic areas.
- Customer & External Influence: Defining and implementing customer management strategies and tactics, and ideating/implementing tactics to influence the internal and external development environment.
- Center of Excellence (CoE): Developing and maintaining a Center of Excellence for an identified Therapeutic Area, disease area, or type of deliverable.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with and supporting the group’s project management tools, standards, policies, and initiatives.
