The Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), a premier laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is seeking a highly qualified Senior Project Associate. This role is part of a specialized research project focused on the metabolic adaptations of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of TB.

Educational Eligibility
Candidates must possess one of the following sets of qualifications:
- B.Pharm / 4-year Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Technology, or Medicine PLUS 4 years of R&D experience.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology PLUS 2 years of R&D experience.
- Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Science, Engineering, Technology, Pharma, or MD/MS.

Preferred Expertise
The project involves high-containment research. Preference will be given to candidates with:
- R&D experience in Infectious Disease research.
- Specific experience working in a BSL-3 (Biosafety Level 3) laboratory for at least two years.
Project Focus
The selected researcher will investigate how Mycobacterium tuberculosis remodels its metabolism to survive within host cells, specifically looking at how it integrates stress responses to ensure long-term intracellular persistence.
