JIPMER Invites Applications for Research Associate III Under DHR-Funded Technical Resource Centre Project: M.Pharm, MPH & Ph.D. Eligible

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, has released an official employment notification inviting applications from qualified candidates for the post of Research Associate III. The recruitment is conducted on a temporary, contractual basis under an externally funded research project backed by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The engagement is set under the project titled “Technical Resource Centre under the Centre for Evidence for Guidelines by JIPMER, Pondicherry” within the Jawaharlal Institute of Public Health (JISPH), JIPMER Puducherry, under Principal Investigator Dr. Manikandan Srinivasan, Assistant Professor in the Epidemiology Division.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualifications & Experience

• Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm), Public Health (MPH), Epidemiology (M.Sc.), or Health Economics (M.Sc.) with at least 3 years of post-qualification research or academic experience.
• OR
• Doctorate or Postgraduate Medical Degree: Ph.D., MD, MS, or MDS in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Public Health, Statistics, Epidemiology, or Health Sciences (or an equivalent degree).

Desirable Qualifications

• Authorship (First or Corresponding Author) in peer-reviewed journals with a focus on Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (SRMA).
• Prior formal training or hands-on institutional experience in conducting SRMA.
• Proven track record in organizing academic workshops, conferences, or seminars.
• Advanced proficiency in data analytics and programming using statistical tools such as R, STATA, or Python.

Key Terms & Conditions

• Nature of Appointment: The engagement is purely contractual and project-specific. Selected candidates will hold no claim to permanent absorption or regular appointments at JIPMER.
• Shortlisting Criteria: Shortlisting will rely on academic background, relevant experience, and credentials submitted in the application. JIPMER reserves the right to raise screening benchmarks if application volumes are high.
• Government Employees: Applicants currently working in government bodies or autonomous organizations must present a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the evaluation/interview.
• Joining Requirement: The selected candidate must be prepared to join duty within 10 days of the declaration of final results.
