The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, has officially announced a recruitment drive for research personnel under an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) intermediate grant-funded multicenter study titled “SGLT2 Inhibition and Remote Ischemic Preconditioning to Prevent Contrast-Associated Acute Kidney Injury in High-Risk Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Multicenter Randomized 2×2 Factorial Trial.” The positions are based in the Department of Nephrology at Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal.
Available Positions & Qualifications
1. Project Research Scientist-I (Project Manager) — 02 Posts
- Essential Qualifications:
- First Class Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, Biochemistry, Public Health, or related disciplines.
- OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree in the aforementioned fields combined with a PhD.
- Desirable Qualifications: A PhD or a PG degree with at least two years of post-PG research experience; proven experience in Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and multicenter study coordination; proficiency in scientific writing and statistical software (SPSS, R, Stata, or equivalent); experience with REDCap software and data management; working knowledge of Kannada.

2. Project Technical Support-III — 02 Posts
- Essential Qualifications:
- Three-year Graduate degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, Biochemistry, Public Health, or related disciplines + three years of post-qualification experience.
- OR A Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, Biochemistry, Public Health, or related disciplines.
- Desirable Qualifications: Prior research experience (ideally in RCTs); proficiency in venipuncture; laboratory competencies including biological sample handling, centrifugation, and ELISA; scientific writing skills; fluency in spoken Kannada; experience with REDCap software and data management.
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Remuneration: Rs. 28,000 + 10% HRA

Project Duration & Submission Guidelines
- Duration: Initially sanctioned for one year, with potential extension for another two years subject to performance and project requirements.
