The role requires a Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in biological sciences or bioengineering, along with research experience and at least one paper in an SCI journal. The post is located in New Delhi and offers a fellowship of ₹58,000 per month plus HRA.
- Project Associate-I: Two positions are available.
- One is for the same Shorea robusta project, requiring a first-class M.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology or Plant Science with a NET/GATE qualification or a similar national-level examination. The fellowship is ₹31,000 per month (or ₹25,000 for non-NET/GATE candidates), plus HRA.
- The second position is for a project on sandalwood phenotypes, focusing on high heartwood and oil content. It requires a first-class M.Sc. in Botany, Plant Science, or Ecology, along with a national-level qualification. This role also offers ₹31,000 per month plus HRA.
- Junior Project / Research Fellow: Three positions are open for different projects.
- One role focuses on identifying factors that induce haustorium (a parasitic organ) in sandalwood for enhanced seedling survival. Candidates need a first-class M.Sc. in Plant Science, Forestry, or Botany with NET/GATE. The fellowship is ₹37,000 per month for NET/GATE-qualified candidates and ₹24,000 for others.
- Two additional positions are for a project on screening alternative pulpwood species for the pulp and paper industry. These roles require a first-class M.Sc. in Life Science, Botany, Biochemistry, or Forestry, with a fellowship of ₹24,000 per month plus HRA.
- Project Assistant: Two positions are available.
- The first is for the Shorea robusta project, requiring a first-class B.Sc. in Botany or Plant Science, with a stipend of ₹20,000 per month plus HRA.
- The second is for a project evaluating Gmelina genetics, requiring a B.Sc. in Agriculture or Biochemistry. The fellowship is ₹18,000 per month.
