Pharm'Up 
The Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), a constituent of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has announced a job opening for the position of Senior Project Associate to work on a project titled “Deciphering entomopathogenic fungal mycobiome: understanding modes of action against insect pests.”
This is a single post with a project code of IHP-240001. The selected candidate will receive a monthly emolument of ₹42,000 plus House Rent Allowance (HRA).
Essential Qualifications and Age Limit
Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible to apply:
- Educational Qualifications:
- A Master’s or Integrated Master’s degree in Natural, Agricultural, or Pharmaceutical Sciences (including M.Pharm and MSc).
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine.
- A Doctoral Degree in Science, Pharma, MD, or MS is also acceptable.
- Experience:
- For those with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience in research and development within industrial or academic institutions is required.
- For those with a Doctoral Degree, 2 years of experience in a similar capacity is needed.
- Desirable Experience: Research experience in microbiology and mycology, with hands-on expertise in microbiome analysis techniques, such as metagenomics and whole-genome sequence analysis, as well as bioactive compound isolation and characterization, is highly desirable.
- Upper Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 years. Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC, ST, PwBD, and women, and 3 years for OBC candidates.
