Goa Public Service Commission: Head of Testing Unit Position

The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) is inviting applications for the position of Head of Testing Unit at the Goa Medical College. This is a single, unreserved post with a pay scale as per pay matrix Level-11.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: The maximum age limit is 45 years.
Essential Qualifications:
1. A postgraduate degree in Medicine (MD in Microbiology, Pathology, or Biochemistry) OR a postgraduate degree in Pharmacy or Science (Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biochemistry) from a recognized university or institution.
2. A minimum of 18 months of practical experience in testing blood and blood products, including tests for HIV, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, and Malaria, using methods like Chemiluminescence or ELISA.
3. Knowledge of the Konkani language is mandatory. However, this requirement may be relaxed for Group ‘A’ posts in professional colleges on the recommendation of the GPSC and the government.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of the Marathi language.

Application Fee: The fee can be paid online or offline through an e-challan at any SBI branch in Goa. Candidates can download their application form only after successful payment.
Shortlisting: If a large number of applications are received, the Commission will shortlist candidates for the interview based on their qualifications and experience.
