CSIR-CCMB Hiring: Project Associates & Assistants for Genome-Editing Research

CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), a premier research institute in Hyderabad, is inviting applications for several temporary, contractual positions. These roles are part of the “Genome-editing for crop improvement (GE-Crop)” project, which focuses on cutting-edge plant molecular biology and bioinformatics. Available Positions and Eligibility

Senior Project Associate: Two positions are open for candidates with a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or similar field) and at least 3 years of research experience. PhD holders in Pharma are also eligible. The role offers a monthly salary of ₹42,000 + HRA and involves hands-on work with genome editing in rice and plant molecular biology.
Project Associate-I: A total of five positions are available across two different projects. Candidates with a Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as M.Pharm or M.Sc, are eligible. The monthly salary is ₹31,000 + HRA for those who have qualified for a national-level exam like CSIR-UGC NET or GATE. Other candidates will receive ₹25,000 + HRA. The job duties involve plant tissue culture, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.
Project Assistant-II: This role is for two positions and requires a B.Sc. or a 3-year Diploma in a relevant field. The salary is ₹20,000 + HRA. The selected individuals will assist in laboratory experiments, phenotyping, and the management of rice plants.
