
Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS) in Hyderabad, an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), is seeking a qualified candidate for the temporary position of Project Associate-II. This role is for a DBT-sponsored project focused on developing gene replacement therapy for Methylmalonic Acidemia, a rare genetic disorder. The project, titled “Rational engineering of improved mRNA and circRNA platforms for Gene Replacement Therapy in Methylmalonic Acidemia, a rare genetic disorder,” is led by a team of researchers, with Dr. Sandipan Chakraborty as the Principal Investigator.
Key Details
- Position: Project Associate-II (1 post)
- Stipend: The selected candidate will receive a monthly stipend of ₹35,000 + 27% HRA.
- Duration: The fellowship is for a period of two years, with the initial appointment being for one year. The contract may be extended based on satisfactory performance.
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 years. A relaxation of up to 5 years is available for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, physically handicapped, and female applicants.
Qualifications
- Essential Qualification: A Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or MVSc, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates must have two years of experience in research and development in a scientific institution.
- Desirable Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Linux OS and biomolecular simulation. Applicants with a valid GATE/UGC-CSIR NET (JRF/LS)/DBT-JRF score will also be preferred.
