CSIR-NCL Pune Announces Project Associate-I Opening in Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Microbiology

The CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is inviting online applications for one temporary position of Project Associate-I under a sponsored research project.

Emoluments (per month)	Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (for NET/GATE/National Level Exam qualified candidates)

Age Limit	35 years (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PWD/Women and 3 years for OBC)
Initial Engagement	Six months, extendable based on project tenure and satisfactory performance.

Essential and Desirable Qualifications

Minimum Educational Qualifications (Master’s Degree in one of the following):
- Microbiology
- Chemistry
- Biochemistry
- Biotechnology
- Microbial Biotechnology
- Industrial Biotechnology
- Pharmaceutical (Bio) Technology
- Biochemical Engineering
- Equivalent degrees in relevant fields from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable Qualification / Experience:
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in:
  - Recombinant DNA technology (site-directed/saturation mutagenesis)
  - Screening of mutants of engineered enzymes
  - Bioinformatics
  - Protein purification and biocatalysis.

Job Requirement

The selected candidate will be expected to work in the areas of bioinformatics, chemistry, biocatalysis, enzyme engineering, and applied microbiology.

The interview will be conducted online (via Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, etc.).
No separate interview call letter will be issued, and no TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
Selected candidates must join duty immediately upon receiving the offer of engagement.
