Educational & Experience Requirements
- Essential: * PhD in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or Virology.
- Three years of post-PhD experience in molecular diagnosis of infectious diseases, preferably within a biocontainment facility.
- Desirable:
- Experience managing BSL-2 or higher facilities.
- Expertise in diagnostic assay development and working with BSL-3 pathogens.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising small to mid-sized teams.
Key Responsibilities
- BSL-3 Management: Overseeing the effective operation of high-containment facilities.
- Compliance: Ensuring all lab activities align with institutional quality policies and national regulatory standards.
- Documentation: Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Training: Providing technical guidance and safety training to project staff and researchers.
