NII New Delhi Recruitment 2026: Project Research Scientist Opening in Cancer Immunotherapy

The National Institute of Immunology (NII), an autonomous research body under the Department of Biotechnology, is inviting applications for a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) position. This ICMR-funded project focuses on repurposing the FDA-approved drug Eliglustat for breast and oral cancer immunotherapy.

This is a high-impact research role under the supervision of Dr. Santiswarup Singha, focusing on advanced immunological interventions and tumor models.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: * First-class M.Sc. or M.Tech in any area of Life Sciences or Chemical Sciences.
- M.Sc. candidates must have qualified for a National Level Exam (NET/GATE, etc.).
Mandatory Experience: At least two years of research experience.

Job Description & Preferred Expertise

The selected scientist will engage in complex experimental protocols. Preference will be given to candidates with 2+ years of experience in:

Immunology: FACS, ELISA, T-cell activation assays, and p-MHC tetramer formulation.
Animal Models: Handling mice, tumor inoculation, and various injection routes.
Protein Engineering: FPLC-based purification and in-vitro protein folding from bacterial inclusion bodies.
Nanotechnology: Synthesis, bioconjugation, and characterization of nanoparticles.
