
In a significant boost to India’s research ecosystem, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore (acting as the Hub) and National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra (acting as the Spoke) have announced a massive recruitment drive. Under the ANRF PAIR Program, applications are invited for 28 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions for the prestigious project: “SAKSHAM- Scientific Advancements in Knowledge for Sustainability, Healthcare, and Materials.”
This project is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) and aims to bridge the gap between fundamental research and sustainable industrial applications.
Research Themes & Scope
The SAKSHAM project is a multi-disciplinary initiative divided into three high-impact themes. Selected fellows will have the opportunity to work across both institutions depending on project requirements.
- Theme 1: Advanced Materials – Focus on the synthesis and characterization of next-generation materials.
- Theme 2: Environmental Sustainability & Energy Technology – Research into renewable energy and green technologies.
- Theme 3: Health and Medical Technologies – Development of healthcare solutions, medical devices, and pharmaceutical innovations.
Eligibility & Financial Support
The program is looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong academic background in Science, Engineering, or Pharmacy.
Educational Requirements:
- Post-graduation in Basic Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, or Technology.
- Minimum Marks: 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) for General/OBC candidates.
- Relaxation: A 5% relaxation (or 0.5 CGPA) is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified CSIR/UGC-NET or GATE/GPAT.
Remuneration & Tenure:
- Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month + HRA (as per institutional norms).
- Duration: Initial appointment is until March 31, 2026, extendable semester-wise up to September 2029 based on performance.
- Age Limit: 32 years (as of 01.01.2026), with age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Female/PwD candidates as per Government of India rules.
