The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, has announced recruitment for regular Teaching and Non-Teaching positions.
The institute is seeking high-caliber scientific professionals with a proven track record of research, leadership, and student mentorship to join its faculty as Assistant Professors.

1. Assistant Professor (Department of Biotechnology)

- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Bioscience & Bioengineering, Life Sciences, or Biomedical Sciences with a First Class in the preceding degree (M.Pharm/MS/M.Tech/M.Sc.).
- Experience: At least 5 years of Teaching, Research, or Industrial experience.
- Desirable Expertise: Characterization of biologicals/biosimilars, vaccines, bioprocess engineering, and gene/cell-based therapy.
2. Assistant Professor (Department of Medical Devices)

- Pay Scale: Level-12 (Initial Basic Pay: ₹78,800/- + Allowances)
- Upper Age Limit: 40 Years
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. with First Class in the preceding degree (M.Sc/M.Pharm/M.S.Pharm/B.Tech/M.Tech) in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical, or Electronics.
- Experience: 5 years (excluding Ph.D. tenure) in Teaching, Research, or Industry.
- Desirable Expertise: Biomedical Imaging, AI in healthcare, signal processing, and experience with Class 2/Class 3 medical devices. Patents in the field are highly preferred.
