
The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, is inviting applications for Research Associate (RA) positions across multiple high-impact R&D projects. These fellowships offer a unique opportunity to work under the guidance of senior scientists in the fields of Nuclear Agriculture, Radiopharmaceuticals, and Cancer Management.
Project 1: Nuclear Agriculture & Food Preservation
- Objective: Enhance food security through nuclear techniques in agriculture.
- Vacancies: 15
- Eligibility: Ph.D. in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Soil Science, Food Technology, or Bioinformatics.
- Desired Skills: Practical experience in molecular biology, data analysis, and relevant research publications.
Project 2: Radiochemicals & Radiopharmaceuticals
- Objective: Development of new radiopharmaceuticals and radiation sources for medical applications.
- Vacancies: 04 (3 for Chemistry, 1 for Biosciences)
- Specialized Roles:
- Chemistry (RA 1): R&D on radiochemical separation and medical radioisotope purification.
- Chemistry (RA 2): Synthesis and evaluation of cancer-specific peptides/molecules.
- Chemistry (RA 3): Synthesis of radiolabeled functionalized nanoparticles for cancer management.
- Biosciences (RA 4): Biological evaluation of targeting agents; requires experience in phage/ribosomal display and animal models.
Fellowship Levels & Stipend
Selected candidates will be placed in one of three levels based on their Ph.D. thesis quality, post-doc experience, and interview performance.
