
AstraZeneca (AZ) is looking for a driven Commercial Pharma Analytics Associate to join their Global Business Services (GBS) team in Chennai. This role is pivotal in driving data-led strategies to support AstraZeneca’s goal of delivering 20 new medicines by 2030.
The position focuses on bridging the gap between raw data and commercial strategy, ensuring that customer insights directly inform brand prioritization and engagement models.
Key Responsibilities
- Insight Leadership: Use local customer insights to shape brand strategy and engagement.
- Analytical Innovation: Evaluate and deploy advanced quantitative methods and technologies (SQL, Python, R).
- Data Storytelling: Translate complex data sets into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Capability Building: Identify, rank, and embed new analytic capabilities to improve decision-making speed and quality.
- Competitive Intelligence: Monitor external trends in pharma analytics to maintain a competitive edge.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, etc.).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python or R; experience with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience: Previous background in brand/commercial analytics within pharma or healthcare is highly desirable.
- Strategic Mindset: Experience in marketing science (segmentation, targeting, CRM analytics, and MMM/MTA).
- Soft Skills: Strong collaborator engagement and the ability to influence senior decision-makers through data.
