
The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai—formerly known as UDCT—is inviting applications for the position of Project Associate-I. This research role is part of a prestigious project sponsored by ICMR-DHR, focused on evaluating the medicinal properties of Piper betel (Betel leaf) in cancer treatment.
Project Details
- Project Title: Evaluation of immunomodulatory and anti-cancer properties of Hydroxychavicol, a major constituent of Piper betel.
- Research Supervisor: Dr. Vikas D. Dighe (National Centre for Preclinical Reproductive and Genetic Toxicology, ICMR-NIRRCH).
- Duration: 1 Year.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Essential Qualification:
- First Class Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees).
- OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree with a Ph.D.
Desired Experience:
- At least 2 years of research experience in reproductive biology.
- Practical hands-on experience in mammalian/rodent tissue culture and handling laboratory animals.
- Proficiency in qualitative/quantitative gene and protein expression, Flow-cytometry, and Confocal microscopy.
Age Limit:
- Maximum 30 years.
Remuneration
- Monthly Salary: ₹31,000 + 27% HRA.
- Total Consolidated Pay: ₹39,370 per month.
