The role is tasked with steering packaging operations, maintaining high visual inspection standards, and driving regulatory adherence across sterile injectable manufacturing lines.

Position Summary & Core Mandate

The incumbent will oversee both automated and manual visual inspection systems as well as complete secondary packaging workflows. The key objective is to meet production targets while maintaining strict compliance with cGMP, sterile guidelines (including EU GMP Annex 1 and USP), and global data integrity standards.

Detailed Responsibilities & Operational Scope

Visual Inspection Management: Direct manual and automated inspection workflows; maintain inspector qualification and requalification cycles; track defect trends, lead Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) monitoring, and execute investigations into elevated rejection rates.
Secondary Packaging Operations: Oversee line clearance, cartoning, labeling, track-and-trace serialization, bundling, and shipper packaging to eliminate mix-up and cross-contamination risks; reconcile printed packaging inventory.
Compliance, Audits & Regulatory Inspections: Ensure permanent audit readiness for international regulatory audits (USFDA, MHRA, EMA, WHO, ANVISA); manage deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and out-of-specification (OOS) workflows; uphold strict GDP and data integrity principles.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean and Six Sigma projects aimed at boosting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), line speed, and labor productivity while minimizing rejects and downtime.
Equipment & Facility Support: Oversee inspection systems, checkweighers, shrink wrappers, and case packers; collaborate with engineering teams on qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and scheduled preventive maintenance.
People & Safety Governance: Lead shifts of operators, technicians, and line leads; coordinate resource planning; enforce EHS guidelines to foster safe workplace practices.
