Applications have been officially invited for the engagement of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a prestigious research project funded by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM). The project is titled “Investigating Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) homing – short peptides and peptidomimetics for biofilm associated infections” and will be based in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at NIPER-Ahmedabad.

- Leadership & Supervision: Principal Investigators include Dr. Bichismita Sahu (Professor, Dept. of Medicinal Chemistry) and Dr. Sapan Borah (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Biotechnology).
- Engagement Tenure: The position is initially offered for a period of 12 months (01 year) and is subject to satisfactory performance and the continuation of the project for an additional year. The role is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- Monthly Compensation: Rs. 23,213/- consolidated.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Essential Qualifications:
- M.Pharm, MS.Pharm, M.Sc., or an equivalent degree specializing in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.
- A postgraduate degree secured with at least 60% marks for General/OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PH candidates from a UGC-recognized university, institute, or autonomous body like NIPER, IITs, or IISER.
- Desired Qualifications: Candidates who are GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, or GPAT qualified will be given preference.
- Desired Expertise: Prior practical experience in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis, running column chromatography, HPLC analysis, LC-MS, and interpreting NMR data.
