
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), a renowned temple of learning in Varanasi, is seeking applications for a temporary, contractual position as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The role is part of a DBT-funded project focused on a crucial area of research: “Therapeutic modulation of circadian rhythmicity and viability of platelets to control thrombogenicity and improve platelet shelf life.” This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring researchers to gain hands-on experience in a specialized field.

- Duration: The appointment is for an initial period of six months but is renewable based on performance and the project’s requirements.
Eligibility and Compensation
- Essential Qualifications: You must have a Post-Graduate degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Zoology with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Desirable Experience: Candidates with prior research experience in Thrombus/Platelet Biology are highly desirable and will be given preference.
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories (5 years for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates).
- Emoluments: The position offers a consolidated monthly salary of ₹37,000 + 18% HRA.
