Research Associate Positions at NIPGR

The National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) is holding a walk-in interview for two temporary Research Associate-I positions. Both roles are under the supervision of Dr. Manoj Majee, Scientist, NIPGR.

Position 1: Research Associate-I

Salary: ₹58,000 per month plus HRA
Project: “Investigation of the molecular intricacies, mechanisms and role of Methionine Sulfoxide Reductase A (MSR A) in preserving seed vigor and viability in rice during seed aging and storage.”
Funding: DBT

Position 2: Research Associate-I

Salary: ₹47,000 per month plus HRA
Project: “Investigation of the role of AtSKIP31-JAZ-ABI TFs module in integrating ABA-JA signaling for the acquisition of seed desiccation tolerance and seed vigor in Arabidopsis thaliana.”
Funding: ANRF-CRG

Eligibility and Experience

Essential Qualification: Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences or an equivalent qualification with a good publication record.
Desirable Experience: Prior experience in plant biology, specifically in raising transgenics and genome-editing lines (for both Arabidopsis and Rice), and conducting molecular analysis of these events is highly desirable.
