- Post: Junior Research Fellow (Temporary, 1 position)
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 years as of October 1, 2025.
- Monthly Emoluments: The salary is ₹37,000 + 18% HRA. However, candidates without a NET or equivalent qualification will be considered for a lower-level position (Project Associate-I) with a salary of ₹25,000 + 18% HRA.
- Tenure: The position is purely contractual, with an initial appointment for one year, likely to be extended until October 9, 2027, or until the project’s completion, whichever is earlier.
- Note: The position is reserved for an ST backlog candidate. In the absence of an eligible ST candidate, a candidate from the Unreserved (UR) category will be considered.
Eligibility and Job Responsibilities
- Essential Qualifications: A Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology, Physics, or Biochemistry, along with qualification in NET or an equivalent national-level examination.
- Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with prior experience in Raman spectroscopy will be given preference.
- Job Description: The JRF’s duties will include obtaining patient consent, collecting and preparing fresh glioma tissue and blood samples, performing Raman spectroscopy, and assisting with data analysis and manuscript writing.

- Selection Process: A written test may be conducted for initial screening, and only qualified candidates will be called for the interview. The written test marks will not be considered for the final ranking. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
