Immediate Research Opening: Project-JRF in Antimycobacterial Drug Development at RCB

The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), an institution of national importance under the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, is seeking applications from highly motivated candidates for a purely temporary position of Project-JRF (Junior Research Fellow). This position is part of a high-impact research project focused on developing new agents against mycobacterial infections.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A Master of Science (M.Sc.) or equivalent degree in Life Sciences.
  • Minimum 60% marks in the Master’s or equivalent degree.
  • Must have qualified a National Level Eligibility Test, such as CSIR-UGC NET, DBT-JRF, GATE, or an equivalent national exam.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  1. Performing Antibacterial Assays.
  2. Training and hands-on experience in mice handling and in vivo experiments (e.g., drug injection, collecting samples, organ harvest).
  3. Familiarity with advanced biophysical and molecular techniques, including ITC (Isothermal Titration Calorimetry), SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance), BLI (Bio-Layer Interferometry), Western Blot, and PCR analysis.

Note: Applicants claiming experience must upload a Certificate of Experience issued by the concerned Principal Investigator/supervisor.
