
The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), a premier technical institution, has announced an opening for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF-GATE). This project-based fellowship is hosted at the Centre for Nanotechnology and is focused on advanced material development for space technology.
The project, titled “Development of Transparent Polyfluorinated Polyimide Films for Space Applications,” offers a unique opportunity for researchers to work on specialized polymer derivatives intended for space missions.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Post Graduate degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate degree in a Professional Course.
- Selection must be through a National Level examination (e.g., CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or exams conducted by agencies like DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, etc.).
Desirable Skills
- M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic or Inorganic) is highly preferred.
- Hands-on expertise in the synthesis of organic and inorganic compounds, specifically for polyfluorinated polyimide derivatives.
