Project Details

Project Title: Development, Evaluation and Clinical Validation of Fluorescent Molecules to Target Alzheimer’s Disease.
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Jagpreet Sidhu, Department of Pharmacy.
Collaborating Institute: AIIMS, New Delhi (for clinical/translational studies).
Tenure: 1 year (Extendable up to 3 years).

Position Summary

Post: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Fellowship: ₹56,000 per month + 10% HRA (as per rules).
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
PhD Opportunity: Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the BITS Pilani PhD program, provided they meet the institute’s eligibility norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification: M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) or M.Sc (Chemistry).
Preferred Skills: * Experience in Organic Synthesis and analytical instrumentation.
- Familiarity with animal handling for in vivo studies.
- Knowledge of photophysical studies and molecular probes.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be involved in a multi-disciplinary workflow:

Synthesis: Creating and characterizing fluorescent molecular probes.
Evaluation: Performing both in vitro (lab-based) and in vivo (animal model) biological testing.
Coordination: Working with AIIMS, New Delhi for clinical validation.
Intellectual Property: Contributing to research publications and patent filings.
