
The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Science & Technology, has announced a walk-in interview for a Project Associate II position. This recruitment is part of a high-impact research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF-DST).
The project, led by Dr. Seema Pradhan, focuses on Genome-wide association mapping of the climate-resilient crop Little Millet (Panicum sumatrense). Researchers will utilize haplotype-resolved genome assembly to identify key agronomic traits, contributing to global food security efforts.
Compensation & Tenure
The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the two-year project duration.
- NET/GATE Qualified: ₹42,000 + HRA.
- Non-NET/GATE Candidates: ₹33,000 + HRA.
Essential Eligibility
- Education: Master’s Degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences.
- Experience: Minimum two years of R&D experience in industrial, academic, or S&T organizations.
- Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience in Bioinformatics, particularly in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis, is highly desirable.
