The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), formerly known as Vyapam, is a premier government agency under the Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. As a self-financed, autonomous body, MPESB conducts examinations for professional courses and government recruitment. It invites applications for 313 Pharmacist Grade-2 positions, offering a competitive salary and a structured recruitment process.

  • Pay Scale: 7th Pay Scale (Level-6): Rs. 25,300 – Rs. 80,500
  • Probation Pay Structure:
    • Year 1: 70% of minimum pay scale
    • Year 2: 80% of minimum pay scale
    • Year 3: 90% of minimum pay scale
    • Full pay scale post-probation (approved by Commissioner of Health)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

  • Higher Secondary (12th) in 10+2 system with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Pharma, or M.Pharma from a recognized university or institution approved by the State Government.
  • Live registration as a Pharmacist with the Madhya Pradesh Pharmacy Council.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025)

  • General: 18-40 years
  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/Government servants/Women/Divyangjan/Home Guards, MP natives): 18-45 years
  • EWS: No age relaxation (per circular 73/104/2022/A.P./2021, dated 02.02.2022)
  • Physically Handicapped/Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per General Administration Department guidelines
  • Maximum Age Limit: Not to exceed 45 years for any category (except contract workers and specific categories under Rule No. 13)
  • Note: Candidates must have live registration in an MP employment office.

Citizenship and Residence

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens or Nepalese citizens with certification per MP Civil Services Recruitment Rules 1961.
  • Non-MP residents can apply only for unreserved posts and are ineligible for reservation or age relaxation benefits.

Examination Details

  • Exam Start Date: September 27, 2025 (Saturday)
  • Syllabus:
    • Pharmaceutics: Dosage forms, pharmacopoeias, size reduction, sterilization, tablet/capsule processing, immunological products.
    • Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Acids, bases, buffers, gastrointestinal agents, antioxidants, topical agents, quality control.
    • Pharmacognosy: Drug classification, adulteration, therapeutic effects of alkaloids, terpenoids, glycosides, crude drugs.
    • Biochemistry and Clinical Pathology: Carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, pathology of blood and urine.
    • Human Anatomy and Physiology: Cell structure, tissues, blood composition, body systems.
    • Health Education & Community Pharmacy: Health concepts, disease prevention, first aid, microbiology, communicable diseases.
    • Dispensing Pharmacy: Prescriptions, incompatibilities, posology, suspensions, emulsions, ointments, parenteral products.
    • Pharmaceutical Chemistry II: Organic compounds, nomenclature, properties, formulations.
    • Pharmacology and Toxicology: Drug administration, absorption, metabolism, classifications (CNS, cardiovascular, etc.).
    • Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence: Legal aspects of pharmacy.

Important Notes

  • Aadhar Requirement: Mandatory registration, verified by UIDAI.
  • Identification: Original photo ID (voter ID, driving license, or passport) and Aadhar card required at exam center.
  • Biometric Verification: Mandatory at entry and during the exam.
  • Prohibited Items: Electronic devices (mobiles, calculators, etc.) are not allowed.
  • Admit Card: Available online via application number.
  • Eligibility Verification: Candidates must ensure eligibility; discrepancies may lead to cancellation.
  • Special Tribal Communities: Baiga, Sahariya, Bharia candidates must submit hard-copy applications (Format-2) with certificates by the deadline.
