Research Opportunities for M.Pharm, M.Sc., and M.S. Graduates at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, has announced a significant recruitment drive for four project-based positions. These are excellent opportunities for motivated and qualified candidates to contribute to major research projects under the aegis of a premier government institution. The positions are purely temporary and are part of three different projects, offering varying roles and responsibilities.

Detailed Vacancy Breakdown

The recruitment is for four positions across three key projects:

Position 1: Project Associate-I (Post Code: 01)

  • Project No.: HCP-0007, “CSIR Aroma Mission, Phase-III”
  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.S./ M.Pharm. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
  • Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Organic Synthesis or Natural Products Chemistry.
  • Stipend: ₹31,000 + HRA (for NET/GATE qualified candidates) or ₹25,000 + HRA (for others).
  • Upper Age Limit: 35 years.

Position 2: Project Associate-I (Post Code: 02)

  • Project No.: MMP075202, “A Comprehensive Approach to address Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR)”
  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.S./ M.Pharm. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
  • Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Organic Synthesis or Natural Products Chemistry.
  • Stipend: ₹31,000 + HRA (for NET/GATE qualified candidates) or ₹25,000 + HRA (for others).
  • Upper Age Limit: 35 years.

Position 3: Project Assistant (Post Code: 03)

  • Project No.: CLP250001, “Development of Collard Green Based Nutraceutical Product”
  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc / M.S. / M.Pharm. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
  • Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Organic Synthesis or Natural Products Chemistry.
  • Stipend: ₹25,000 (Consolidated).
  • Upper Age Limit: 35 years.

Position 4: Project Assistant (Post Code: 04)

  • Project No.: CLP250001, “Development of Collard Green Based Nutraceutical Product”
  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences or M.Pharm. in Pharmacology with two years of research experience.
  • Desirable Qualification: Research experience in small animal handling.
  • Stipend: ₹25,000 (Consolidated).
  • Upper Age Limit: 35 years.

Important Information for Applicants

The initial engagement for these positions will be for one year, or until the project’s duration, whichever is earlier. The total tenure, however, will not exceed six years, including any prior engagements at other CSIR labs. It is important to note that these are temporary positions and do not guarantee any claim for permanent absorption at CSIR-IIIM or CSIR.

The selection process will be based on an online interview conducted via MS Teams. A screening test may also be conducted if deemed necessary.

  • Last Date to Apply: 30th August, 2025, by 5:30 PM.
  • Shortlisted Candidates and Interview Date: The list will be displayed on 02nd September, 2025.
