ARI Invites Applications for Junior Research Fellow in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and Microbiology

Agharkar Research Institute (ARI), an autonomous institution of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), is seeking applications for a temporary Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to work on a DBT-sponsored project in the Developmental Biology Group.
Position and Project Details
- Post: Junior Research Fellow (1 No.)
- Project Title: “Endo-lysosomal pathway mediated regulation of transsynaptic signaling at the Drosophila synapse”
- Project Period: The position is temporary, with a project period extending up to September 20, 2026.
- Monthly Stipend: A consolidated monthly stipend of ₹37,000 + HRA will be provided.
- Age Limit: The maximum age is 28 years, with age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India regulations.
Essential Qualifications
To be eligible for this JRF role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Hold an Integrated M.Sc. (BS/MS) in Life Sciences, including specializations such as Zoology, Biotechnology, or Microbiology, with at least 55% aggregate marks.
- National Level Examination: Candidates must have qualified in a national-level test, such as CSIR/UGC NET (including Lectureship), GATE, or a similar examination conducted by agencies like DST, DBT, or ICMR.

- Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of ₹100 is required, payable online. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Divyang/Women categories are exempt from paying this fee.
