Recruitment Faculty Positions (Professor/Associate Professor) at Haldia Institute of Pharmacy, West Bengal

The Haldia Institute of Pharmacy (HIP), established in 2018 under the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE), Haldia, is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced faculty members for the posts of Professor and Associate Professor. ICARE, a renowned non-profit voluntary organization in West Bengal, is committed to providing high-quality, value-based education across various disciplines.

HIP is a comprehensive pharmaceutical education institution, offering programs including the 6-year Pharm. D. course, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, and M.Pharm across four distinct specializations.

Available Faculty Positions (Total: 8 Posts)

The Institute is recruiting four Professors and four Associate Professors across the following departments:

Pharmaceutics (One Professor, One Associate Professor)
Pharmacology (One Professor, One Associate Professor)
Pharmaceutical Analysis (One Professor, One Associate Professor)
Pharmaceutical Chemistry (One Professor, One Associate Professor)

Eligibility Criteria as per PCI Norms

Candidates must strictly adhere to the norms set by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) for eligibility:

Professor

Educational Qualification: First Class B. Pharm with an M.Pharm in the relevant specialization, and a Ph.D. degree in any Pharmacy subject. The Ph.D. qualification must be PCI recognized.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of total experience in teaching in a PCI approved/recognized Pharmacy College or research. Crucially, 5 years of this experience must have been spent as an Associate Professor in a PCI approved/recognized institution.

Associate Professor

Educational Qualification: First Class B. Pharm with an M.Pharm in the appropriate specialization, and a Ph.D. degree in any Pharmacy subject. The Ph.D. qualification must be PCI recognized.
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of total experience in teaching in a PCI approved/recognized Pharmacy College or research. Importantly, 5 years of this experience must have been served as an Assistant Professor in a PCI approved/recognized institution.

Job Profile and Compensation

Selected candidates will be responsible for a dynamic set of duties that span academics, research, and administration:

Teaching Load: Imparting education at all institutional levels, including M. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy, D. Pharmacy, and Pharm D.
Other Responsibilities: Active participation in Research activities and contributing to general Administration functions.
Required Skills: Candidates should possess strong subject matter knowledge, basic computer skills, and administrative aptitude.
Salary: Compensation will be provided As per AICTE and Institute Norms.
Location: The posts are based at the Institute’s campus in Haldia, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal.
