The Vacancy: Project Technical Support – III (One Post)
The position is for a Project Technical Support – III and offers a Consolidated Salary of ₹36,400/- per month in Bangalore. The maximum age limit for applicants is 35 Years. Proficiency in English is required.
Project Overview: Investigating PPBC Subtypes
The research project is focused on investigating Postpartum Breast Cancer (PPBC), a distinct subtype of breast cancer that typically manifests in young women 5 to 10 years after their last childbirth.
The primary objective is to conduct a multi-faceted analysis, including:
- Genomic and Transcriptomic profiling.
- Analysis of the Spatial Microenvironment within the tumor.
- Developing strategies for clinical decision-making aimed at identifying and understanding poor prognostic subclasses of the disease.
Required Qualifications and Technical Responsibilities
Essential Candidate Requirements
- Preferred Qualification: Candidates should hold an M.Sc. degree with a First Class in Life Sciences (e.g., Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, etc.).
- Preferred Experience: Prior research experience in Molecular Biology and Cancer Biology is highly desirable and will be given preference.
- The individual must have a postgraduate qualification in Life Sciences with proven research experience in Molecular Biology.
Core Roles and Lab Techniques
The successful candidate will be a hands-on lab professional responsible for executing advanced molecular and histological techniques, including:
- Performing high-quality DNA, RNA extractions, quantitation, and purifications.
- Providing technical support and assistance in Sequencing and cutting-edge Spatial Profiling experiments.
- Carrying out validation assays, specifically multiplex Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and qPCR (quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction) validation.
