
The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad, a research institute under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), is seeking applications for the temporary post of Consultant – Senior Incubation Manager for the recently established CDFD Technology Incubator. The incubator aims to promote and accelerate early-stage innovations in life sciences and related disciplines.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

| Essential Qualification | Master’s degree or equivalent in Life Sciences discipline from any nationally reputed Institute/University. |
| Certifications (Added Advantage) | Certifications in any three of the following: Incubation and Entrepreneurship, Regulatory Affairs, Business Models, Digital Marketing, Technology Transfer, Program Management. |
| Essential Experience | Minimum 4 years of overall work experience in the start-up ecosystem, either as a start-up founder/co-founder/core team member and/or as a stakeholder of the start-up ecosystem or in managing/administering an incubation centre. |
Key Work Responsibilities
The Senior Incubation Manager will be crucial for the success of the CDFD Incubator, focusing on the following areas:
- Incubatee Management: Expand the portfolio, selection support, and strategic nurturing of life science/biotech startups.
- Facility Oversight: Oversee and optimize technology infrastructure, specialized laboratory resources, and ensuring operational excellence.
- Mentorship & Support: Actively mentor/support startups with a strong understanding of the biotech ecosystem, regulatory pathways, and commercialization challenges.
- Program Planning: Plan and organize ecosystem-building initiatives like tech showcases, investor meets, workshops, and networking sessions.
- Funding & Grants: Identify funding avenues (Government + private), draft grant proposals, and support incubatees in securing funding and early market traction.
- Strategic Partnerships: Strengthen start-up access to mentors, investors, corporates, and professional service providers.
- Reporting & Branding: Monitor startup progress, track KPIs, provide periodic reporting, and manage social media platforms for brand visibility.
