
The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), a premier institution under the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) and Department of Atomic Energy, invites applications for the JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS (JRF 2026) for its Ph.D. Program in Life Sciences, affiliated with the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following qualification requirements:

Fellowship Details
- Stipend: ₹ 37,000/- per month + HRA (as per norms).
- Progression: The JRF is converted into a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) in the 3rd year, based on the fellow’s performance.
- Benefits: Limited hostel facility available for new entrants (first come, first served for one year). Ph.D. scholars are entitled to In-house medical facility and local transport services.

Application Procedure

- Fill the online application. Incomplete forms or those without the required fee/documents will be rejected.
- Application Fee: Pay online. SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped candidates (with required proofs) are fully exempted from paying fees. Fees are non-refundable.
Eligibility for Direct Interview (No ACTREC Entrance Exam Required)
- Candidates holding valid JRF Fellowships awarded after qualifying a national level written entrance test conducted by CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ DBT/ other recognized agencies.
- Recipients of the DST- Inspire fellowship.
- Qualified JGEEBILS candidates who are eligible for the ACTREC Ph.D. program will be shortlisted separately.
