2. Eligibility & Preferred Experience

Educational Background:

Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or allied Life Sciences.

High-Containment Lab Experience: Expertise in handling Risk Group III pathogens—specifically M. tuberculosis—within BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratory environments.

3. Key Responsibilities

The research focuses on synthetic lethality, a concept where the simultaneous loss of two genes leads to cell death, whereas the loss of either alone does not.

Culturing and manipulating M. tuberculosis in BSL-3 facilities.
Testing inhibitors or genetic modifications involving Type II NADH dehydrogenases.
Conducting molecular biology experiments and in vivo (animal) studies to validate sterilization efficacy.
