This unit is pivotal in translating innovative drug concepts into medical products through large-scale clinical trials.
1. Position & Project Overview
The vacancy is for a research project focused on early intervention in Acute Pancreatitis using Enoxaparin.
- Post Name: Project Research Scientist – I (Medical)
- Project Title: “Early Intervention with Low Molecular Weight Heparin (Enoxaparin) for Prevention of Moderate to Severe Acute Pancreatitis: A Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Multicenter Randomized Trial”
- Emoluments: Rs. 67,000/- + HRA
- Age Limit: 40 years (Relaxations applicable as per Govt. norms)
- Tenure: Short-term contractual, extendable based on performance and project status.
2. Eligibility Criteria
This role is open to a wide range of medical and healthcare professionals with specific clinical trial experience.
- Educational Qualifications: MBBS, BDS, BVSc, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BNYS, BPT, B.Pharm, or Pharm.D.
- Mandatory Experience: Minimum two (2) years of post-qualification experience in:
- Clinical project management.
- Clinical trial/study monitoring.
- Work within a recognized hospital, academic clinical trials unit, CRO, or pharmaceutical company.
3. Key Responsibilities
The selected scientist will be responsible for the end-to-end monitoring of clinical trial sites:
- Site Monitoring: Conduct on-site and remote visits (Initiation, Routine, and Closeout).
- Compliance: Ensure sites follow ICH-GCP, study protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Patient Safety: Verify informed consent and monitor AE/SAE (Adverse Event) reporting timelines.
- Data Integrity: Review Source Data Verification (SDV) and manage electronic systems like EDC, CTMS, and eTMF.
- Logistics: Manage Investigational Products (IP) and study supplies.
