
The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna, an autonomous super-specialty institute modeled after AIIMS New Delhi, has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate (Jr. PvA).
This recruitment is being conducted at the Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre (AMC), IGIMS, under the aegis of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The role is pivotal in ensuring drug safety and monitoring adverse reactions within the region.

Eligibility & Compensation

Core Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following technical tasks:
- ADR Reporting: Systematic collection of Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reports from various hospital departments.
- Case Management: Processing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and managing data entry/narratives in the VigiFlow software.
- Data Review: Conducting quality, clinical, and statistical reviews of ICSRs within the Drug Safety database.
Walk-in Interview Requirements
Candidates must appear in person with the duly filled application form (available on the IGIMS website) and original documents along with one set of photocopies:
- Proof of Age: Matriculation (10th) certificate.
- Academic Proofs: Graduation and Master’s degree certificates and mark sheets.
- Professional Proofs: Experience certificates in drug safety/PV (if applicable).
- Identity: Government-issued photo ID proof.
- Photos: Two recent passport-size photographs.
Terms of Engagement
- Tenure: Initially for one year, extendable based on performance and departmental requirements.
- Selection: Purely based on the walk-in interview performance and eligibility verification.
