The CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, has announced several high-level research vacancies on a contractual basis. These positions are part of critical national projects, including wastewater surveillance for Tuberculosis and environmental monitoring of Avian Influenza.

Key Project Details & Qualifications
1. Wastewater & Environmental Surveillance for Tuberculosis (Project Code: GAP000671)
This project aims to detect TB markers in environmental samples.
- Essential: Ph.D. or Master’s in Pharma/Engineering/Life Sciences (depending on post code).
- Desirable Skills: Experience in bioinformatics, eDNA-based NGS data analysis, and wastewater sampling.
2. Avian Influenza Early Detection (Project Code: GAP000640)
- Essential: PG in Basic Science or Professional Course (NET/GATE qualified for SRF).
- Desirable Skills: Molecular virology, RNA extraction, and RT-qPCR.
3. Eastern Ghats Conservation (Project Code: MLP0156)
- Essential: Master’s in Natural/Agricultural/Pharmaceutical Sciences or MVSc.
- Desirable Skills: Wildlife endocrinology, ELISA for hormone analysis, and field sampling.
Important Application Information
Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before applying online.

- Tenure: Initially for a short duration, extendable based on performance and fund availability (Max 5 years total in CSIR).

Mandatory Requirements for Interview
If shortlisted, you will need to produce:
- Original degree certificates (Awaiting results/pursuing candidates are not eligible).
- Experience certificates (counted after acquiring the minimum qualification).
- NET/GATE qualification proof (where applicable).
General Terms
- Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday); weekend work may be required.
- Leave: One day for each completed month of service.
- Termination: One month’s notice from either side.
