GGSMC Faridkot Recruitment 2026: Jr. Pharmacovigilance Associate Vacancy for M.Pharm & Medical Graduates

Guru Gobind Singh Medical College (GGSMC), a premier constituent college of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate. This tenure-based post is part of the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) and is based at the institute’s Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre (AMC).

Established in 1973, GGSMC is a key government institution in Punjab. This opening offers pharmaceutical and medical professionals an opportunity to work under the guidelines of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC).

Job Profile & Compensation

Position: Jr. Pharmacovigilance Associate
Department: Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre (AMC)
Tenure: Initially for one year (extendable based on performance and department requirements).
Salary: ₹32,000 per month (Consolidated, as per IPC guidelines).
Age Limit: Not exceeding 28 years.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications

Candidates must hold one of the following degrees from a recognized university or institute:

M.Pharm (Master degree in Pharmacy)
Master’s in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, or Clinical Research
Pharm.D
MBBS / BDS

2. Desirable Experience

One year of practical experience in Drug Safety or Pharmacovigilance is highly preferred.

Core Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for technical drug safety monitoring, including:

ADR Collection: Gathering Adverse Drug Reaction reports from hospital departments.
ICSR Processing: Managing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) using the VigiFlow database.
Safety Reviews: Conducting quality, clinical, and statistical reviews of reports in the Drug Safety database.
Compliance: Ensuring all activities align with the National Coordination Centre (NCC) and IPC standards.
