Opportunities at IIT Indore: National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF) under SAKSHAM Project

INDORE (April 15, 2026) — The Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore), in collaboration with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), has announced a prestigious opening for a National Postdoctoral Fellow (NPDF). This position is part of the “SAKSHAM” project—Scientific Advancements in Knowledge for Sustainability, Healthcare, and Materials—funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

This fellowship is specifically nested under the IITI–ANRF PAIR Theme: Healthcare and Medical Technology, focusing on critical innovations in antimicrobial resistance and diagnostic tools.


Fellowship Overview

The selected fellow will work in a high-impact, interdisciplinary environment across the Hub (IIT Indore) and Spoke (DAVV) institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this competitive role, applicants must meet the following stringent requirements:

  • Academic Background: PhD / MD / MS in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Medical Technology.
  • Publication Record: At least two research publications, with at least one as First or Corresponding Author in a peer-reviewed journal within the last two years.
  • Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Preferred Assets: Candidates holding granted patents or possessing a strong background in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) research and biomedical device development.

Application & Interview Process

The selection process is swift, requiring candidates to be ready for immediate engagement.

1. Submission Requirements:

  • A comprehensive CV including academic grades from 10th standard onwards.
  • Details of GATE/NET scores (Year, Discipline, Rank).
  • Two recommendation letters on official letterheads.

2. Important Dates:

  • Deadline: Applications must be submitted within 3 weeks of the advertisement date (Approx. May 6, 2026).
  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates will receive a Google Meet link for the hybrid interview on April 27, 2026.

3. General Terms:

  • The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for those attending the interview in person.
  • Candidates must bring original certificates and self-attested copies for verification.
