
The CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu, is inviting applications from motivated researchers for a project-based position under the BioE3 Policy. This project focuses on sustainable bioprocessing, specifically turning dairy waste into valuable nutraceuticals.

- Project Title: “Cost-Effective Bioprocess Development and Scale-Up of β-Galactosidase Production Using Dairy liquid waste…” (Project No. GAP-3192).
- Project Duration: Tenable until March 31, 2028.
- Funding Agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT).
Eligibility & Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Degree: Master’s Degree in Life Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry OR a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of research experience in:
- Fermentation and enzyme production/purification.
- Biomolecule purification.
- Utilization of agricultural biomass.
Desirable Experience
- Specific research background in fermentation activity and enzyme production scale-up.
Stipend & Age Limit
- Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (Relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India rules).
- Monthly Stipend:
- ₹35,000 + HRA: For candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET, GATE, or other National Level Examinations.
- ₹28,000 + HRA: For candidates who do not fall under the above category.
