National Institute of Plant Genome Research (BRIC-NIPGR), New Delhi, is conducting a walk-in interview for one temporary position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under the DBT multi-institutional project titled “Characterization of chickpea germplasm resource to accelerate genomics-assisted crop improvement.”

- Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 42,000/- + admissible HRA per month (as per DST/DBT norms)
- Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Senjuti Sinharoy, Scientist-V
- Tenure: Initially for 1 year or until the tenability of the project (co-terminus with the project, extendable/curtailable based on performance)
- Interview Date & Time: Monday, October 05, 2026, from 10:30 AM onwards
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in any branch of Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of post-Master’s research experience in the relevant discipline.
- Qualified in a national-level test: CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or DST-INSPIRE (fulfilling DST OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 guidelines).
- Desirable Experience:
- Prior practical experience in plant tissue culture and genome editing techniques (preferred).
