
St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI), Bengaluru, under the CBCI Society for Medical Education, is inviting applications for the position of Project Research Scientist-I under an ICMR-funded project titled ICMR-IIRPIG (NAG)-1. The investigation centers on luminal breast cancer subtypes, examining how altered lipid metabolism (specifically sphingolipid and ganglioside metabolic pathways) drives chemotherapy resistance within cold tumor microenvironments and whether targeting these pathways can stimulate an effective antitumor immune response.

Eligibility & Key Competencies
- Educational Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences with proven molecular biology background (preferred).
- OR M.Sc. (First Class) in Life Sciences with extensive hands-on wet lab experience in molecular biology techniques.
- Technical Experience:
- Background in cancer biology and clinical tissue handling.
- Practical expertise in spatial profiling, DNA/RNA extraction, quality assessment, and purification.
- Experience with sequencing workflows, multiplex immunohistochemistry (IHC), and quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) validation.
- Other Requirements: Strong proficiency in written and spoken English communication.
