JNCASR Invites Applications for Research Associate Post Under DST Project: M.Pharm, M.Sc, M.Tech, and Ph.D Candidates Eligible

The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has announced an official recruitment notification for the post of Research Associate. The selected candidate will join a DST-sponsored research project in the New Chemistry Unit at JNCASR’s Jakkur campus in Bengaluru.

The research initiative focuses on developing an advanced diagnostic solution titled “AMP-inspired rapid point-of-care detection platform for lipopolysaccharide and Gram-negative bacteria,” supervised by Principal Investigator Prof. Jayanta Haldar.

Position: Research Associate (Temporary)

Fellowship / Remuneration: Rs. 58,000/- per month plus 30% HRA

Eligibility & Qualifications

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as of the application cut-off date.
Essential Academic Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences or an equivalent doctoral degree.
- OR
- A minimum of 5 years of verified research, teaching, design, or developmental experience following an M.Sc, M.Pharm, M.E, or M.Tech degree, with at least one published research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal.
Desirable Experience:
- Candidates demonstrating practical expertise in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis, purification methods, and structural characterization will receive preference.

Selection Method & Guidelines

Shortlisting & Interview: Initial screening will be based on academic track record and relevant laboratory experience. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to appear for an online interview before a specialized selection committee.
Employed Candidates: Applicants currently working in outside institutions, universities, or private sectors must produce a valid ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) from their respective employers.
