Core Responsibilities

In Vivo Efficacy Testing: Plan, design, and execute in vivo efficacy and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) studies to advance drug discovery pipelines for novel chemical entities.
Disease Model Development: Establish, validate, and optimize physiologically relevant in vivo animal disease models, translational biomarkers, and clinical surrogate endpoints.
Laboratory & Surgical Techniques: Execute small animal handling, multi-route drug administration/dosing (oral, IV, IP, SC), tissue necropsy, and biological sample harvesting.
Biomarker & Molecular Analysis: Perform ex-vivo biomarker evaluations utilizing techniques such as qPCR, Western Blotting (WB), and ELISA.
Data Interpretation & Reporting: Carry out rigorous, statistically supported data analysis, interpret experimental outcomes, and maintain compliant laboratory notebooks (ELN).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner actively with discovery chemists, disease area specialists, and cross-functional teams, presenting findings through internal and external presentations.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Education: M.Pharm or M.S. in Pharmacology from a recognized institution.
Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on preclinical research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical industrial R&D environment.
Technical Competencies:
- In-depth understanding of core pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and animal model validation.
- Hands-on proficiency in rodent handling, dosing techniques, organ harvesting, and downstream molecular assays.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism) and data visualization.
Key Attributes: Strong analytical reasoning, disciplined documentation practices, collaborative team spirit, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
