Pharm'Up 
The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad, an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), has announced a vacancy for Project Technical Support–III. This position is part of a high-impact, ICMR-funded research project aimed at understanding the molecular structure of the Nipah virus to develop potential antiviral drugs.
The project, titled “X-ray crystal structure determination of V protein and its complexes from Nipah virus and Newcastle disease virus, structure-guided screening and validation of potential anti-V drugs,” is led by Dr. Madhuri Subbiah, a renowned scientist specializing in animal viral diseases and drug development platforms.
Position Details
- Post Name: Project Technical Support–III (PTS-III)
- Fellowship: $₹28,000\text{ per month} + 30\%\text{ HRA}$ (Total: ₹36,400/month)
- Tenure: 3 Years (Subject to annual performance reviews)
- Age Limit: 35 Years
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy any one of the following educational combinations:

| Graduate Route | 3-year Graduate degree in Life Sciences + 3 years of post-qualification research experience. |
| Master’s Route | Master’s degree in Technology (M.Tech) or Life Sciences (M.Sc). |
| Bachelor’s (Professional) | 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Technology (B.Tech) or Life Sciences. |
Desired Experience:
- Molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification of recombinant proteins.
- Biophysical characterization of proteins.
- Hands-on experience in cell culture systems.
