
The National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi, is inviting applications for a Research Associate-I position. This role is part of a high-impact DBT Multi-institutional project focused on revitalizing the cultivation of Large Cardamom (Amomum subulatum Roxb.) through biotechnological interventions.
Position Details
- Designation: Research Associate-I (01 Post)
- Project Title: Biotechnological interventions for revitalizing sustainable large cardamom cultivation.
- Supervising Scientist: Dr. Debasis Chattopadhyay, Director, NIPGR.
- Remuneration: ₹58,000/- + 27% HRA per month (as per DBT/DST norms).
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- OR M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics with at least three years of research experience and at least one relevant research publication (as per DST norms).
Preferred Technical Skills
- Expertise in Computational Biology, including genome assembly and annotation.
- Experience with GWAS (Genome-Wide Association Studies) analysis.
- Proven track record with at least one first-author publication in an SCI journal (Impact Factor > 3).
- Desirable: Proficiency in Python, R, and Linux operating systems.
