The Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) and the Mehta Family Center for Engineering in Medicine (MFCEM) at IIT Kanpur are inviting applications for a Project Scientist position. This role is central to a project focused on the high-level technical management of advanced equipment and vector production for biomedical research.

Eligibility & Expertise
1. Educational Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biosciences, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or any relevant discipline.OR
- M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Biosciences, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biophysics, or relevant discipline with:
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification research experience.
- At least one research publication in an SCI-indexed journal.
2. Preferred Skills
- cGMP Knowledge: Prior experience in a Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) facility for biopharmaceutical products is highly desirable.
- Vector Production: Understanding of viral vector design and manufacturing (e.g., AAV, Lentivirus) for gene therapy research.
