ANRF Recruitment 2026: High-Level Expert Positions for Science & Engineering Leaders

The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) is inviting applications from distinguished professionals to fill senior leadership and domain expert roles. These positions offer a unique opportunity to influence India’s national research trajectory, design large-scale scientific missions, and foster cross-sectoral collaborations between academia and industry.

All positions are based in New Delhi on a contractual basis for an initial period of three years.

Detailed Role Profiles

1. Principal Expert (Strategic Leadership)

• Focus: Visionary leadership and strategic guidance for national missions and policy development.
• Core Responsibilities: Conceptualizing large-scale programs, advising on global/national partnerships, and evaluating high-impact outcomes.
• Ideal Candidate: Authoritative leaders with a track record in science/engineering policy or institutional building.

2. Senior Expert (Program Implementation)

• Focus: Designing and managing domain-specific initiatives and research programs.
• Core Responsibilities: Serving as a subject matter expert, mentoring program teams, and managing grants.
• Ideal Candidate: Professionals with significant experience in managing research initiatives or mid-to-senior grant management roles.

3. Associate Expert (Operations & Analysis)

• Focus: Operational execution and technical support for ANRF missions.
• Core Responsibilities: Conducting critical data analyses, supporting grant execution, and engaging stakeholders across disciplines.
• Ideal Candidate: Experts skilled in project coordination and building evidence-based research strategies.

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum: Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Technology.
• Desirable: PhD is highly preferred for Principal and Senior Expert roles.
• Special Provision: For Associate Expert roles, Bachelor’s degree holders with outstanding achievements in innovation or business systems may be considered.
